As we head into the holiday season, our thoughts often turn toward home–from traveling to visit family and friends faraway to preparing to welcome people into our homes.
It’s also a season of grief as we recognize the people who won’t be joining us at home for the holidays, or those who have been displaced across the globe and have no home.
And of course, there’s always tension threatening to creep into our lives as troubles seem heightened during the holidays with financial, emotional, and relational stresses. The holidays can be a big season for the blues.
As my own thoughts have turned toward home (and the fact that we don’t exactly know where we’ll be living by Christmas), I began to think about how I could be intentional about creating a haven of rest and hope in whatever home I’m in this holiday season.
I’ll be praying these 4 verses over our home this holiday, and I thought you might want to join me.
We’ve created a handy downloadable that you can print with these verses to hang on your fridge or mirror, and keep as a visible reminder for all your family members. Click the graphic above, or download here: HOME verses.

Wherever your home may be this holiday season, I pray you will know the peace and comfort and JOY.
