In June, I had the privilege of traveling from Michigan to Ohio for my first in-person Circle of Friends experience. My parents live in Columbus, Ohio, so I left my two kids with Grandma and Grandpa and made the most beautiful, idyllic drive ever to Sugarcreek, Ohio. The road twisted through rolling hills, past quiet Amish farms with laundry flapping on the lines, and hay twisted in bundles ready for harvest. By the time I arrived at the Dutch Valley Restaurant, I was in a relaxed state despite the two-hour drive.
The drive was just the beginning of a beautiful day….
