Little Miss is learning to tell time, and she loves to announce what time it is when she gets up. Except, she only can tell the hour time so far. So this morning she announced, “I slept in until almost 10 o’clock!” Now that, is a great way to start a summer morning!
89 days of summer, Day 5:
We went to the library today and signed up for the summer reading program. The place was PACKED! Who says libraries and reading real books are going out of style? We loaded up our bag with books.
We tried to feed the ducks in the river by the library, but they were interested. Seriously. Judging by the pieces of bread floating in the river my guess is they had already been well-fed.
We went to go see Great-Grandpa in his new rehab place. I love watching his eyes light up when he sees the kids. He even laughed at them some today while they were playing a game of catch with some mini-beach balls. His reflexes are pretty good. I’m in awe of how well he is doing considering all he has been through the past month.
We ended the day by celebrating Great-Grandma’s 88th birthday. No party is complete without lots of help blowing out the candles!
We have so much to be thankful for and celebrate this summer! How about you?
